It is with great regret that we announce that George Lynch and Lynch Mob will not be playing Saturday July 29th. George broke 3 ribs in an accident while helping a friend with a construction project.

We reached out to George’s people for direction on how we should word the announcement that George would not be playing the show. Below is what was relayed back to us.

When asked how it should be announced that Lynch Mob would not be playing the show, George said, “Tell’ em the truth. I fell through a floor, fell on some scaffolding, broke three ribs and thought I was going to die for a minute.”

George’s band mate who was also on the call said, “Maybe we shouldn’t give so many details, let’s just tell them that you fell and broke a couple ribs.”

George said, “Hell no! That makes it sound like I’m a feeble old man. I fell through a f@*#ing floor, I thought I was going to die for a minute!”

At the time of the accident George was helping a friend build a house for his son. He was doing what he was about to do with us this weekend… something selfless for another. We were looking forward to having George in our music experience camp, making the kids smile and sharing his gifts. We will look at options for the future to bring him back.

Luckily, George is a tough SOB. He is now home from the hospital and expects to make a full recovery. Word is, George is planning on making the rest of his upcoming tour dates.

Please leave a message at the bottom of this article, sending George your best wishes for a swift recovery. While his absence will be deeply felt, we’re determined to have an awesome show!
